"Open Source Library Automation: All Grown Up"

The past few years have seen several major milestones in open-source library automation: several open-source ILSes are now available, including Koha, OPALS, OpenBiblio, PMB, Evergreen and NewGenLib.
Joshua Ferraro, Release Manager for the 3.0 Version of Koha and CEO of LibLime, gives an overview of these developments and will discuss why open-source software will continue to change the face of library technology and empower libraries.
For libraries who fear they can't take advantage of the benefits of open source, Ferraro will discuss the perceived barriers to implementation and show how libraries can now enjoy the advantages of open source--with or without an IT staff.
